I finally have a shop to call my own in Mevagissey! My flagship store is now open in a building built in 1791 by a church-going smuggler, Captain James Dunn.
A rambling old property, complete with a fully functional roaring open fireplace, an ancient bread oven, and a smugglers’ tunnel weaving all the way to the shoreline, the JENNY AVES flagship is crammed full of character.
It’s a tremendous feeling to own MY OWN store, in which I can display all of MY OWN products in a dedicated space, brought to life by Captain Dunn and revived by me, whilst retaining its character, charm, and heritage features.
Captain Dunn’s soul is in the stone of the building, and I hope he doesn’t mind too much that a space once filled with nets and ropes has been adorned with beautiful linens.
I’m ecstatic and proud that my little independent business has grown into this space, and look forward to welcoming you all to my new, permanent home in Mevagissey.
